What These Roles Usually Involve
While every mandate is different, Senior DevOps Engineers we place typically work on:
- Designing and owning CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD)
- Managing Kubernetes clusters at scale (EKS, GKE, AKS)
- Building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible)
- Defining and implementing observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
- Driving cloud cost optimisation and reliability engineering practices
- Mentoring junior engineers and influencing platform strategy
- Collaborating closely with product and backend engineering teams
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles
- Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments
- Solid cloud platform knowledge — AWS, GCP, or Azure (multi-cloud exposure a plus)
- Proficiency with IaC tooling: Terraform is the baseline, Pulumi is a bonus
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines end-to-end
- Scripting and automation skills: Python, Bash, or Go
- Security-conscious mindset — familiarity with DevSecOps practices
- Fluent English (working language across all our client teams)
Nice to Have
- Experience in regulated industries (fintech, healthtech, aerospace)
- Exposure to eBPF, service mesh (Istio, Linkerd), or platform engineering frameworks
- GitOps experience (Flux, ArgoCD)
- Spanish, Dutch, or German language skills
