The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and talented Distributed Ledger Technology Engineer to join our dynamic Technology team. You will play a pivotal role in driving the continued growth and success of our innovative platform.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams in an agile development environment.
- Develop critical components of our secure collateral exchange platform, leveraging a modern tech stack including Kotlin, Spring Boot, ActiveMQ, Gradle, Ansible, Docker, and Corda.
- Enhance our platform built on R3’s Corda DLT, where smart contracts are written in Kotlin to facilitate secure and private transactions between businesses.
- Integrate with external systems through message queues and RPC (Remote Procedure Call).
- Champion the platform’s security, resilience, and confidentiality to align with the needs of our industry-leading financial sector clients.
- Effectively communicate with key partners like Deutsche Börse Group and R3.
- Assist the Tech Team with onboarding new clients, including IT due diligence assessments.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to monitor our production system.
Who You Are
- Hold a Master’s Degree in Computer Science with a strong foundation in computer science principles, including databases, concurrency, security, and networking.
- Possess at least three years of software engineering experience using Kotlin, Java, or other JVM-oriented languages.
- Bring a proven track record of impactful contributions to a development team that delivered a successful, large-scale product.

- A proactive attitude with strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and technological analysis skills.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment, readily adapting to change.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Bonus Points For
- Experience with functional programming.
- Knowledge of Blockchain or DLT solutions like Corda, Hyperledger Fabric, or Ethereum.
- Experience working with relational database management systems, message queues, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
